how time flies...

hi guys

well, the last post i did was 2nd may and i can't believe how time has flown. what has the last 5 weeks brought me?

well my birthday. we went to capetown fish market with friends and had a lovely evening - thanks guys for joining me
then morgan's party - 1st birthday. awe.... shame it was so cute all the little friends. she thoroughly enjoyed it and was so spoilt. thank you to all her maaitjies who helped her celebrate
then it was morgan's birthday. can't believe my baba is 1 already. i remember being in hospital like it was a month or two ago.... where does the time go?

then after all the celebrations we all got sick. morgan started it off with a cold, and gave me tonsilitis. can you believe - who gets tonsilitis in their 30's? apparently me. i haven't been sick for 3 years and was i sick. i have to be off work for a whole week - never ever before

morgie poohs is still sick. she has sinusitus and is on her second lot of antibiotics. poor sausage, its not fair that little ones must get sick. i'm really hoping its coming to an end now because the medicine is giving other side effects

so work is going well. far too much cappaccinno's thanks to sammy -sams. its all good, we are really having a good time and hopefully making a difference. isn't that what its all about?

busy with a cute layout for morgan - just don't have any pics yet. just bought a whole lot of credits from photobox so i'll be printing very soon (she hopes)

love to you all

Whats new

Well my job at PERCCI is going well. I can't believe how time has flown

I have managed to get one or two layouts done, but my scrapbooking is way behind. I haven't finished my February Project 12 layout - oops.

Morgan is growing so fast. I am trying to be organised in order to spend as much time at weekends and be home early enough to feed her, bath and a little playtime.

I am reading Jeffrey Archer's 'Paths of Glory' and am throughly enjoying it. It is so different to anything else he has written and is bringing back lots of memories of Kilimanjaro. Here is a picture to remind you of what I achieved!

Reading about Everest and watch Discovery World is 'Everest - Beyond the Limit' and I can't honestly say that I wouldn't like to give it a go.

Do you have a dream that just seems unrealistic? What are we suppose to do with these dreams/goals that we have?

Quick Mini Christmas Album

Have you already downloaded your Christmas photos, sorted through them and printed them out? If your like me, that usually gets done towards Easter! But since 2010 is my year for getting organised, and TIME is my new buzz word, i've been proactive this year.

I created this mini Christmas Album for my sister-in-law to remind her of her holiday at home (she lives in the UK with her fiance). It was our little Morgan's first Christmas, and we all enjoyed watching her with the paper and presents!

Take rectangle chipboard pieces for your pages. I used 5 12cmx8cm chipboard, including cover and back. Since you need to cover 10 sizes, select either 5 double pages (you get 2 pages covered from 1 sheet) or 10 single pages. Choose Christmas paper, with greens and reds if you are going for the traditional Christmas theme.

Firstly I covered each chipboard sheet. I put the double sided tape (medium or thick tape) onto the chipboard and then put the paper onto the chipboard. It is easier to then cut the paper from the chipboard with your craft knife.

I then chose my pictures to fit each page. It is a good idea to have some jumbos, 2 ups, 4 ups as well as 6 ups for this project. I like to pick and chose and love to have a variety of printed photos to play around with.

After embellishing each page, do some journalling (i put the menu onto one of the tags) as well as some colour coded ribbons on the rings.

Enjoy this quick and easy project. It is a perfect gift, or a reminder of hopefully a wonderful Christmas.

Busy Bee

Time certainly flies when your having fun! This is my last week "off" work as my sister in law and her finance have been visiting from London. Its always sad when they leave, not only because it'll be a few months until we're all together again - but this time because I know my holiday has come to an end!

I've made a quick easy mini album for them of our Christmas together. Watch this space for the pics and instructions. You should start downloading your pics and sorting through them. Lets get organised this year and not leave the Christmas projects until Easter (which I have been known to do once or twice)

OH! And the most exciting news of all, I'm going to be Maid of Honour at my sister in laws upcoming wedding - YAY! That is uber exciting, can't wait

Greetings for 2010

Happy New Year! Hope this year is truly amazing for you and your families. May you all be blessed with good health, fun times and prosper beyond your wildest dreams.

If you are following the Ali Edwards blog have you decided on your word yet? If you haven't followed her blog, she challenges everyone to have a word that you want to focus on and be inspired by. A word that will represent what you want from the new year, what will 2010 be for you?

My word is TIME. Time for God, better time management, time with my family, quality time with my baby, time to scrap and time for me. Everyday you think about your word and with that thinking also needs to come action - in order to fulfill your desire for the new challenges and new doors that open this new year for you.

We had a fantastic few days break in East London and Port Alfred. Its always nice to get away to family and friends isn't it?

I'll be back soon with some pics and a layout or two I'm sure!
