I wanted to do a layout that spoke to the trauma we had been through, but without dwelling on it or making it a 'negative layout'. i could just have framed a black piece of cardstock if i wanted to!
since i don't do layouts of myself that often (and we should, do as i say not as i do!) i'm always telling people to preserve the memories of themselves too, coz one day your kids are going to want to see you too - not just themselves growing up. after all you are a very important part of their lives
Right, back to the layout. As i was saying, i don't scrap myself often so i thought something that refelected my personality would be good start. Pink, bling, happy, flowers - thats me! I put hidden journaling behind the photo, where i wrote a little letter to my daughter so its there, but very subtle. i called the lo 'life' because these things happen and not just to other people. i would have called it 'surviviour' but that didn't fit in!
i embossed the alphas with bronze utee, to match the mirror embelishment.
I spritzed the vanilla cardstock, used for the photo mat
