Layout - Wonderful

Dear Bloggers,

How are you all today? Happy Mothers Day to all you special woman who are mothers, grandmothers, mentors, community mothers, sisters and aunts! Aren't we blessed with our precious little ones?

Here is a layout i did with the new Prima range, Sun kiss. I love these pictures of Duane and Morgan, taken last year. The sun was just going down and the light was such a gorgeous colour. It is like having sepia photos in colour!

There is a lot of fussy cutting, distressing and inking going on. Here are some closeups:

The clusters are made from Prima Flowers, chipboard, fussy cutting some butterfiles and bees, and resist canvas pieces. Not sure if you can see in the picture, but I painstakingly cut out 10 small bees!

I tried the Resist Canvas embellishments, which I hadn't done before. I used some spray and then distress inks. I'm quite pleased with the way they came out. Here is the process I used:

This is the resist canvas before altering it.

I used an Enmarc Spray (Avocado) as well as Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Wild Honey)

After spraying the canvas, i wiped the distress ink over the spray and kept going until I got the desired colours. Then ink the edges for dimension.

I love the colours on this Sun Kiss Collection, nice and bright and summery!

Here are the supplies I used:
Sunshine Path paper 844172
Sun Kiss Collection paper 844202
Sun Dried Paper 844233
Chipboard 555283
Chipboard 555306
Resist Canvas 554675
Flowers Lucerne 555702

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Much Love and Happy Scrappin'

Altered photo frame

Good day bloggers,

Today is my birthday *happy birthday to me*!!

I was given this photo frame many years ago, as an engagement present. I really like it and one day Morgan broke one of the panes, and i was really sad. But it seemed like a good opportunity to alter it into something useful.

Here is the Frame Now:

And Some Close ups:

The Swirl and bling is a Prima Say it in Crystals swirl. The ribbon trim is American Crafts and the word tile is very old, from my stash.

I used prima packaging for the backround, as well as the clock. The flowers are all from Prima.

The baubles hanging with the flowers are from a Christmas card i received, and had kept in my stash for many years!

And this is the Frame before I scrapped it. There were 2 glass panes, and you slid the photo inbetween them. So when one pane broke, the frame is unusable in its original form.

Have you done any home decor or alterations? I am really please with the way this came out. Sure I will be trying the home decor alteration again, soon.

Have a scrappy day everyone.

Much love,

Zoe
