Simple Stories Layout - U R Fabulous

Happy weekend Bloggers!

We are away for the weekend and having a wonderful break from reality. The weather is gorgeous and such a warm winter day.

I love the new Simple Stories FABULOUS range and did the following layout with the new range. I don't usually use so many stickers on my layouts, but i just loved how they added so much to the papers and gave the impression of layers and embellishments.

I finished off with a few new Prima flowers and 2 gorgeous pictures of Morgie. These were taken earlier this year, when she was in the mood for posing (which isn't often so i take full advantage when i can!! )

Here is the single layout.

Hope you are all having a wonderful relaxing and crafty weekend!

Much love,
Zoe

Layout - Play. and Mask Technique

Good day blogger,

Here in the Southern Hemisphere winter has set in and this week has been nothing short of freezing with gale force winds and terrential rain. In fact it is still raining! I'm looking out the window at it coming down and I feel so warm inside. Perfect day for crafting no doubt....

Here is a layout I did with some Prima masks, flowers and 6"x6" papers. I love these pictures of Morgan, which were probably taken summer 2011 when she was about 18 months old (I usually can judge by how much hair she has, or in this case lack there of! :)

I used a plain white cardstock paper for the background. When using masks i opt for smooth cardstock. I then spray misted the top left hand corner with the Prima mask and Enmarc mists, as well as the bottom right hand corner with the other mask.
The flower cluster contains various Prima flowers and a few chipboard pieces.

After misting i layered the 6"x6"papers on the page and then sprayed 2 doilies in green (to break the pink a bit).  The title 'play.' was also misted in the same green spray mist - Avocado Pear by Enmarc. Next came the photos, which i sanded the edges to help them 'pop' off the page, and lastly the flower cluster along the bottom and left hand side.

Its weekend, which means family time, relaxing, crafting, lots of eating and here in South Africa - RUGBY! The English have come to South Africa for a 3 test series and the first one starts today and the last test is here in our beautiful city of Port Elizabeth. We have the most awesome stadium, in my humble opinion.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Sorry I've been missing in action a bit - time really does fly, doesn't it!

Scrappin' love,
Zoe
